The week of June 16 – 20, 2025 is National Trench Safety Stand Down Week. During this week, Flippo Construction Company joined utility contractors across the country, to pause work on job sites and hold trench safety training. The intent of the week it to better educate utility construction workers in order to reduce the number of trench related deaths in the nation. Flippo Construction’s crews held toolbox talks focused on excavation and tranch safety, to include the three S’s Sloping, Shoring, and Shielding.
